MČR standardně ve Slaném, závod perfektně zorganizovaný, ale nechtělo by to už jinou lokalitu? Závod dvoudenní, v pátek navečer kvalifikace, na mě už celkem zima – lezu ve druhé skupině od osmi hodin. Převislé bouldery proběhnu Flashem, kolmáče trošku potrápí, ale za půl hodinky mám hotovo a postupuji ze třetího místa do semifinále.

V sobotu razíme s rodinkou, na semifinále, svítí sluníčko a je příjemně teplo. Semifinálové kolo je trošku hra nervů, bouldery jsou dost lehké a na postup jsou potřeba 4 topy na 7 pokusů, takže nebyl prostor na chyby. Naštěstí se mi daří dát všechny bouldery na OS a jdu dál z prvního místa. Dalším, kdo dal 4T na 4pokusy, byl brácha, takže asi poprvé postupujeme do finále z 1. a 2. místa.

Záznam ze semifinále
Finále je svěťákovým stylem, už je chladno tak je potřeba pořád se udržovat zahřátý. Bouldery jsou opět poměrně lehké a hned první lezec, Robo Luby, z prvních tří boulderů přiběhne po pár vteřinách a vytváří tlak na nás ostatní.

Jedničkou proběhnu na OS jako většina. Ve dvojce chci jít na jistotu a namísto toho padám z Topu, druhým pokusem posílám. Trojku taky proběhnu na OS, a tak se to sešlo, že bude rozhodovat poslední boulder v kolmáči. Robo Luby netopuje a tím mi dává šanci. Chvíli bojuji s úvodním náskokem, vím že se padá z topu, a snažím se co nejvíce si pohlídat špatné stupy a co nejvíce se držet v malých rozinkách. Daří se mi a topuji, vítězím. Finále si moc neužívám, euforie z přelezu boulderu moc nebyla, spíš vždy pocit povinnosti a snaha neudělat chybu. Kvalifikace byla suprově trefená, ale semifinále a finále mohlo být malinko těžší. Ale pro stavěče je to vždy těžký úkol, správně trefit obtížnost.

The Czech Championship took place in Slané, as always. The competition is perfectly organized, but maybe it would be nice to change the location? The competition took two days, the qualification was on Friday evening and it was already quite cold, I've been climbing in the second group since eight o'clock. I flash the overhanging boulders, while the verticals are a bit of a pain, but in half an hour I'm done and I advance to the semifinal from the third place.
On Saturday, my family joins me, the sun is shining and it is nice and warm for the semifinal. It is bit of a nailbiter, the boulders are quite easy so you need 4 tops in 7 attempts to advance and there's no room for mistakes. Fortunately, I managed to climb all the boulders OS and advance from the first place. The next one who scored 4T in 4 attempts was my brother, so we are probably advancing to the finals from 1st and 2nd place for the first time ever.
The final is in the World Cup style, it's already cold, so one really needs to keep warm all the time. Again, the boulders are relatively easy and Robo Luby, the first climber, finishes the first three boulders after few seconds and puts the rest of us under lots of pressure.

I climb the first boulder OS, like most of the other participants. In the second one I play safe, but I fall from the top instead, and then I send at the second attempt. The third boulder is another OS for me, so the last boulder will decide. Robo Luby doesn't reach the top and gives me a chance to win. At first I struggle a bit with the beginning and then I keep in mind that people fall from the top a lot in this one, so I try hard to avoid bad footholds. I succeed and get to the top and win. I didn't really enjoy the final, though. I didn't feel much euphoria from climbing the boulder, for me it was more like an obligation and effort not to make a mistake. The qualification was good, but the semifinal and final could have been a little harder - but it's always a difficult task for the builders to deal with the difficulty correctly.
