Jeden z vrcholů sezóny se odehrál v sobotu na pražské Letné, a to MČR v boulderingu. Místo krásné, tropické teploty, technická kvalda a spíše silové finále. Jdu do druhé kvalifikační skupiny a ve vedru se hlava těžko nastavuje na "kill mode". Z osmi boulderů se mi podaří přelézt 7 na 14 pokusů a to mi dává 5. postupové místo do finále - ty průtlaky...
Odpoledne se schováváme před sluníčkem, s blížícím se finále se dělá trochu dýchatelněji a energie jde nahoru. Jak jsem se těžce probíjel kvalifikačním kolem, tak finále bylo pro mě poměrně jednoduchou záležitostí a mám velkou radost ze 4 topů na 4 pokusy. Atmosféra celkem pěkná, ale celkově jsem moc necítil výjimečnost MČR, spíše mi připadalo jako další závod ze seriálu ČP. Nejvíce jsem se zapotil na kolmé jedničce a přes 3 minuty mi trvalo, než jsem protančil strukturami od Anatomicu.

Dvojka byla asi nejlehčí boulder, kde bylo zapotřebí zabrat za krysu, a nebo ji přeskočit.

Dolezl jsem si tedy pro devátý titul Mistra republiky, druhý skončil Štěpán a třetí Kuba Hlaváček. Díky sponzorům a Kačce za podporu, a teď musím ladit formu na ME, které se za necelé dva měsíce odehraje v Mnichově.

One of the most important events of the season - the Czech Championship in bouldering - took place on Saturday in Prague at Letná. The setting was beautiful, the temperatures tropical and the qualification quite technical, in comparison with the power final. I start with the second qualification group and in the hot weather I have trouble to get my mind into the proper "kill mode". From the 8 boulders I can climb just 7 (with 14 attempts) so I pass to the final from the 5th place.
In the afternoon we hide from the sun and when the final comes the air is more fresh and my energy level goes up again. Unlike the qualification the final was a piece of cake to me and I was very happy about my 4 tops in 4 attempts. The vibe was good, though I somehow didn't felt the importance of this championship, it was more like another round of the Czech Cup series. The first boulder was the hardest, it took me over 3 minutes until I got through the structures by Anatomic. Number two was probably the easiest, one just needed to grab one hold properly - or to skip it. The third and fourth boulders were about strength so it was very easy for me.
So it was the 9th time I became the Champion of the Czech Republic, Štěpán was second and Kuba Hlaváček third. Thanks to all my sponsors and to Kačka for her support and now I have to keep in shape for the European Championship in Munchen which will take place in less than two months.
