Zlom, ČP Olomouc, Adidas rockstar

Další kolo ČP proběhlo v Olomouci. Můj výlet začíná již v pátek, kdy jsme v členy Akademie věd v Praze navštívili tektonický zlom na severu Rychlebských hor u obce Bílá Voda. Byli jsme se podívat i na jednom kopci poblíž obce Žulová, který skýtal malí boulderingový potenciál.

Večer přspím u pořadatele závodů Michala. V sobotu se sjelo jen pár závodníků, 13 chlapů a 5 bab, což je docela tristní. Na druhou stranu lezci si za to můžou sami, mají jezdit. Ale mentalita je dnes spíše ta, být venku na skalách a "Závodit" tam, což chápu a nebejt tohle nominační závod do repre asi bych taky nejel. Kvaldou jsem prošel s 5topy na sedm pokusů. Vyhrál ji Ondra Nevělík, který měl 5/5. Finále bylo znatelně lehčí než ve Slaným, a s Nevělajzem sme všechno poslali na první, takže rozhodla kvalda a Ondra vyhrál. Já druhej. Čtyři bouldry dal i Štěpán, takže skončil třetí. Zbytek bojoval o jeden top či zóny. Poučení pro příště, brát vážně i kvalifikaci.

Pořadatele chválím za tričko (pro všechny) a pohár, to je věc na kterou jsme na závodech téměř zapoměli, palec dolů je za nekonečný protahování.

V neděli mi dorazí mail s pozvánkou na Adidas rockstar competition, které se bude konat letos ve Stuttgartu, ale bohužel se nebudu moci zúčastnic, budu v Rocklands!:)




A fault, Czech Cup in Olomouc, Adidas Rockstar
Another Czech Cup round took place in Olomouc. My trip began already on Friday: We and several members of the Academy of Sciences visited a tectonic fault located in the northern part of the Rychlebské-hory-mountains, near to Bílá Voda village. We also visited a hill near Žulová village -- I think there is a potential for bouldering there.

I spent the night at Michal's place, the organizer of the competition. On Saturday, a few competitors arrived, 13 guys and 5 gals -- which I find pretty pathetic. On the other hand, climbers should blame themselves, it's up to them to come. However, the mentality today is to be rather outside on the rocks and to have one's own "competitions" there. I can understand that: Had this not been a nomination race, I too wouldn't have probably come. I passed through the qualifications (5 tops at 7 attempts). Ondra Nevělík won (with 5 of 5). The finals were noticeably easier than the finals in Slaný: I and Nevělík sent everything at first attempt -- so qualifications were deciding and Ondra won the overall competition. I ended up as the second. Štěpán did 4 boulders as well so he was the third. The rest was fighting for one top and the zones. The lesson for next time: Take the qualifications seriously.

I thank the organizers for the t-shirt and the cup -- that's a thing we almost forgot at past competitions. Thumbs down for the infinite waiting, though.

The invitation card for Adidas Rockstar competition arrived on Sunday. The race will take place in Stuttgart this year. I, for one, won't be able to take part -- I'll be at Rocklads! :-)
