MČR v rychlosti a Pata Ledovce

Vzhledem k tomu, že se chci nominovat do reprezentace v kombinaci, je zapotřebí se zúčastnit nominačního závodu v lezení na rychlost. Zatím jsem absolvoval 3 tréninky v lednu, pak měsíc pauza kvůli sádře a teď závod. Zatím nepomýšlím na nějaký pěkný čas, při lezení nad cestou stále přemýšlím a to zpomaluje. V závodu se každým pokusem zlepšuji a ve čtvrtém pokusu zapisuji 10,38 s, pátý pokus je o dvě setiny pomalejší. To stačí na 6. místo mezi chlapy (jsem 4. z Čechů), ale je zapotřebí mít na paměti, že disciplíně se u nás pořádně věnují jen dva lezci.

Šestý závodní pokus vynechávám a spěchám do Krasu, ve Sloupu je stále potok, takže Holštejn. Házím matice pod Špičku Ledovce 8B, boulder, který vždy vyzařoval respekt a nikdy jsem se v cruxových krocích nepohnul. Tentokrát se mi asi po hodince podaří udělat všechny kroky, mám velkou radost, protože se rovněž jedná o vstupenku do 8C. Zopáknu si i kroky Patičky ledovce - druhé části 8C. Nakonec dám ještě pokus bez lehčích úvodních 4 kroků a padám kousek pod topem, naladěné je to dobře, snad se mezi závody najde čas.

Playground v Krasu

As I want to qualify for the representation team I need to take part in the climbing for speed competition. So far I had three training sessions in January, then I had a break for a month because of the plaster, and now I go to the competition. I don't really think I'm going to be quick, I tend to think a lot and it slows me down. But each attempt is better and the fourth attempt takes 10,38 s, which is enough for the 6th place in the men's category (and 4th place among the Czech climbers). I have to keep in mind that only two climbers here really focus on this discipline, though.

I skip the sixth attempt and hurry to Kras. There is still a stream in Sloup, so I go to Holštejn. I spread the mats under Špička Ledovce 8B, the boulder that always had my respect and whose crux moves kept stopping me. This time I manage to do all the moves in about an hour, which is great as this is a ticket to 8C. I also repeat the moves of Patička ledovce - the second part of the 8C. In the end I make an attempt skipping the first four easy moves and I fall very close to the top. This looks promising, I hope I have time for this one between the competitions.
