Rockmaster - 4.místo v Duelu

Tento rok opět přišla pozvánka na Rockmaster, a i když je léto nabité závody, takováto pozvánka se neodmítá. Razíme s rodinkou, den nácviku jde dobře, v hodince na boulderu se mi daří vylézt téměř vše až na závěr v modrém převisu, pak 15 min v cestě na duel, cca 8a s těžkým krokem uprostřed, těžká cvakání, ale cítím se s cestou celkem ok.

V závodu vypadávám v boulderu hned na prvním boulderu, stavěči pozměnili nohu, ze které se dělá rozpor, a nedaří se mi to dobře ustát, bohužel je to pro mě konec a dělené 7. místo. V duelu se kvalifikuji čtvrtým časem za 1:25, ve čtvrtfinále porážím loňského vítěze Stefana Ghisolfiho v čase 1:18, v semifinále narážím na suveréního Schuberta, zariskuji a vypadávám. O třetí místo lezu s Filipem Schenkem, náš souboj je velmi těsný a nakonec o vteřinku prohrávám s časem 1:13 a končím tedy na 4. místě. Závod suverénně vyhrává Schubert, vítězí jak v boulderu tak v duelu s časem 1:01. 

Záznam Duel

This year, I received the invitation to the Rockmaster competition again, and even though the summer is full of competititons, one never rejects such an invitation. I go with my family, the training day is going well, during the bouldering hour I manage to climb almost everything except for the finish in the blue overhang, then I have 15 minutes for the duel, the grade is about 8a with a tough move in the middle and hard belaying, but I feel quite ok about it.

During the bouldering part of the competition, I fall from the very first boulder, the builders changed a foothold  and it threw me out of balance, unfortunately for me it was the end and a shared 7th place for me. In the Duel, I qualified from the 4th place with a time of 1:25, in the quarterfinals I beat last year's winner Stefano Ghisolfi in 1:18. In the semifinals I compete with Schubert, I risk and I'm eliminated. I am fighting for the third place with Filip Schenk, it is a very close fight and in the end I lose by a second with a time of 1:13, so I end up at the 4th place. Schubert wins both the bouldering part as well as the duel with a time of 1:01.
